8 Week K9 Parenting Puppy Preschool Training
Be proactive and set you and your puppy up for the very best in life! Through this uniquely designed puppy preschool training program in Brisbane. Designed to give both you and your puppy the tools to build a strong positive relationship. this is a comprehensive program covers everything you need to know for raising a well-mannered and happy puppy. With two age groups- one for puppies aged 8-14 weeks and another for puppies aged 14-24 weeks. This ensures puppies learn to mingle with others of a similar age in a safe environment that cater to their training and social needs best.
About The Puppy Preschool Training Program
This 8-week puppy preschool training program is designed to successfully set you up with your puppy to develop the best relationship possible, that is based on trust, respect, and clear communication. You will learn everything you need to know in teaching and guiding your puppy in everyday life situations. Puppies will learn how to interact and play appropriately with other dogs and learn how to be a polite puppy from an early age in everyday life situations. I use science evidence reward based training methods that reward positive behaviour, ensuring your puppy learns in a fun and effective way.
In the Puppy Preschool Training Program key skills and concepts you will learn:
*Positive Reinforcement Training: learn how to encourage positive behaviour using reward based techniques.
* The 3 stages of training: Understand the process of training
* Training Methods: Understand the different positive training methods, and the best ones to use and when.
* Bite Inhibition: Prevent biting and mouthing behaviours by teaching your puppy how to play gently.
* Toilet Training: Get your puppy on the right track with successful toilet training.
* Handling for Grooming/Vet Checks: Teach your puppy to calmly accept handling for grooming and vet visits.
* Preventing and Solving Natural Unwanted behaviors: jumping up, barking, biting, lead pulling, digging and much more
* Creating a Positive Environment: Learn how to set up your home and routine for a stimulating and puppy friendly environment.
* The 4 Basic Needs of a Dog: Understand what your puppy needs to thrive physically, mentally and emotionally.
* Troubleshooting: Learn how to address any issues that may arise during your puppy's development and training.
* Canine Communication and Body Language: Gain insights into how dogs communicate so you can better understand your puppy's signals and speak k9 lingo like a pro.
* Walking Equipment: Try out and fit walking equipment on your puppy and find the right equipment for your puppy's needs.
Puppies will learn to:
*Respond to name
*Settle
*Drop
*Greet people politely
*Go to mat

*Come when called - on and off lead
*Walk on lead nicely
*Walking and greeting people and dogs politely on lead
*Walk close by your side
*No marker signal
*Quiet (stop barking)
Flexible Makeup Session: I understand events can pop up from time to time! If you miss a class, I will message you with the exercises you missed during that session. You can also schedule a 30 minute private makeup session for a small fee of $30
The first five puppy preschool classes are held indoors in Brisbane's Southside suburb Wishart at Pet city , providing your pup with a safe, clean and comfortable environment. Your puppy only needs to have had their very first vaccination for these sessions, and once they are fully vaccinated, we will move outside for the remainder of the training.
On completion of the training your puppy should be 80-100% well trained.
You won't just get the training itself you will also receive a puppy preschool training manual, 12 months access to our puppy online program, and complimentary puppy social interactions sessions. These are available every Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings so you and your puppy get the very best from the puppy preschool program.
