Our puppy preschool training has been uniquely designed to condense a life time work or training into 8 weeks so you should never need any other training! Our training is designed to harness a puppy's view of the big wide world and teach us as K9 Parents how to understand puppy behaviour and body language.
Why is puppy training important?
The first three months of your puppy’s life sets the bar for everything, and if you get it right, you’re on the right path towards a lifetime of happiness and fulfilment.
It’s your puppy’s genetic window of opportunity, and the ripe time to introduce them to other dogs and the everyday experiences of life. If you do this within the first three months, you will eliminate unnecessary stress in the future.
About us and our Puppy Preschool Training
Our 8-week puppy preschool training is designed to successfully set you up with your puppy to develop the best relationship possible, that is based on trust, respect, and clear communication.
We use science evidence based training methods that reward positive behaviour.
Small classes with 4 puppies and 1 instructor for a far better learning environment for the puppies and allows individual attention and a personal touch for each family.
We welcome children and encourage them to join in for family-orientated training.
We make sure the training will cover you and your puppy through their puppy, teenage and senior years so – you’ll never need any training again.
We always strive to go the extra mile, aim higher and shoot further on our ongoing journey to fulfill and exceed your expectations – each and every time.
We make the early learning process as fun, easy and stress-free as possible, allowing your dog to grow up happy, calm and content.
In the Puppy Preschool you will learn about the following :
*Positive reinforcement training for success
*3 stages of training
*An understanding of different positive training methods, and the best ones to use and when.
* Bite inhibition
* Toilet training
* Handling for grooming/vet checks and cuddles
* Preventing and solving natural unwanted behaviours e.g. jumping up, barking, digging, biting/mouthing
*How to create a positive and interesting daily environment for your puppy
*The 4 basic needs of a dog
*How to troubleshoot problems
*How to condition your puppy to respond to requests inside and outside of the home environment and under different levels of distraction
*Canine communication and body language.
*An opportunity to try out and fit different walking equipment on your puppy, which will allow you to purchase the correct equipment
Puppies will learn to:

* Greet people nicely
*Go to mat
*Leave it
*Stay
*Come when called - on and off lead
*Walk on lead nicely
*Walking and greeting people and dogs politely on lead
*Walk close by my side
*No marker signal

Training Details
Orientation - without your puppy for everything you need to know before you pick up your puppy, as well as how they learn, their basic needs and other training theory.
First 5 lessons - indoors at Pet City Wishart, Brisbane, Puppies need to have had their first vaccination
Once they are fully vaccinated, we will move outside for the remainder of the training.
Training Includes:
- Puppy preschool training manual
- Complimentary puppy social interactions sessions. These are available every Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings so you and your puppy get the very best from the puppy preschool program.
- 30 minute private make up session if a class is missed at a small cost of $30.
